In the care sector, we support individuals with various disabilities and work every day to create a secure and meaningful everyday life. Our mission is to provide support and guidance in daily life, with the goal that every individual can live as independent and self-determined a life as possible.
Klintehamn is beautifully located along Gotland's scenic west coast, approximately three miles south of Visby. Here, operations are conducted in two group homes as well as through a mobile team and housing support, providing assistance to adults based on decisions under LSS (Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and SOL (Social Services Act).
We are now looking for new dedicated employees for the group home "Vildrosen" (Wild Rose). We are seeking two employees for permanent positions and one employee for a fixed-term contract extending until August 15, 2025.
With us, you are offered a varied and flexible job, eventful workdays, and access to wellness benefits, all within an organization where you truly make a difference.
Your Responsibilities
As a Support Assistant or Housing Assistant, you work together with your colleagues to support users in achieving greater independence and participation in society. We provide individually adapted support based on individual needs. We value self-determination and privacy in our users' own homes, which permeates the staff's approach and work methods. It is a responsible job from a pedagogical perspective.
We work with IBIC (Individualized Behavioral Intervention Curriculum) as a foundation, and the position includes being a contact person. This means your tasks include working with implementation plans, contacting relatives, and coordinating efforts under LSS, HSL (Health and Medical Services Act), and SOL.
You work according to a basic schedule involving day, evening, and every other weekend shifts.
If needed, you may be required to support other units in the area. Therefore, it is a prerequisite that you are flexible and have a positive attitude towards changes, even when they occur with short notice.
The salary range for a Support Assistant is 30,060 - 33,891 SEK/month.
The salary range for a Housing Assistant within care for persons with disabilities is 26,360 - 30,940 SEK/month.
Who are you?
We are primarily looking for you who are a Support Assistant and have completed a secondary education with a focus on care and nursing, child and youth activities, or are trained as a social pedagogue and/or personal assistant.
It is meritorious if you have previously worked in care for persons with disabilities, have experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities and cognitive difficulties. It is also meritorious if you have experience with challenging behavior, a salutogenic approach, and low-affective handling.
We are looking for you who have personal maturity and a secure approach in meetings with others. You are flexible and adapt easily to different situations and individual needs. With pedagogical insight, you create structure, understanding, and participation in everyday life.
You are service-oriented, clear in your communication, and have the ability to see the big picture – always with the individual's best interest in focus.
