We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Backend Developer to join a tech-driven company in Gothenburg, where innovation, security, and development are in focus!

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will become part of an agile development team responsible for both further development and maintenance of modern backend solutions in a complex and business-critical environment. You will work closely with developers, product owners, security specialists, and the business to create robust, scalable, and secure solutions with high quality and long-term sustainability.

The role involves significant technical responsibility, offering you the opportunity to influence both technical choices and working methods, while contributing to the team's continuous development and improvement efforts. You will work in a modern development environment where REST-based APIs, cloud technology, and security are in focus. The team works closely with operations and business according to DevOps principles, with a strong focus on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous development.

• Developing and enhancing backend services in Java and Spring Framework.
• Building and maintaining REST-based APIs and integrations.
• Working with cloud-based solutions in AWS.
• Ensuring high code quality, logging, and traceability in the systems.
• Collaborating with specialists in security and application security.
• Participating in both new development and maintenance of business-critical systems.
• Ensuring that solutions meet regulatory requirements and compliance.
• Contributing to continuous improvement and technical development within the team.

• A relevant university degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3–4 years of experience in backend development with Java.
• Very good knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based environments.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken, and possession of Swedish citizenship.

• Experience with Kafka.
• Experience and interest in AI-related approaches or agentic development.
• Competence in DevSecOps.
