Sjögrenska Gymnasium is a small school that will move to beautiful new premises in CIK (Center for Sport and Culture) near the train station in central Knivsta this summer. We currently have approximately 120 students and 20 staff members. Our students study on the Child and Youth Care program, Sales and Service program, and Care and Nursing program, all conducted as apprenticeship training. We also run the introduction programs IMA, IMS, IMV, and IMY.

About the Position

Job Responsibilities

As a Study and Career Counselor (SYV) with us, you are a very important person with key functions! We have another SYV on staff, so you will have a collaboration partner with slightly different tasks, as well as an open SYV position. This autumn, we will launch a larger ESF project focused on employability and supporting students during their workplace-based learning (APL). This position is partly part of this project but also directed towards standard SYV duties.

You work closely with students, providing group and individual guidance, driving the SYV work in a broad sense, and together with the principal, handle admissions, enrollments including meetings and start-up information, as well as interruptions and handovers. You plan and administer study plans in Meitner and IST, participate in marketing events, work on strategic planning such as point plans, are a key part of our Student Health Team (EHT), participate in Student Health Meetings (EHM), and likely more! It is a varied and challenging job where you will have the opportunity to develop and make a real difference for both individual students and the organization.
