In the role of Control Systems Engineer, you will be part of project groups within substation investments, working together to achieve project goals. You will primarily be responsible for control system matters in projects, from the preparation of procurement documents to project completion. Furthermore, you will define requirements for suppliers and contractors. Your responsibility includes ensuring that the facilities are built according to our contracts and technical guidelines. You may participate in contractors' testing, both at the manufacturer's site and at the facility, to ensure the correct quality. You will also participate together with the construction contractor in the energization of the substation's new facility parts. You will participate in updates to technical guidelines for control systems and act as a technical support for neighboring units with control system issues.

The work also involves making assessments between different technical solutions together with our contractors, maintaining schedules and deadlines, and maintaining good relationships with larger contact surfaces.

You will belong to the Control Systems AC Project North or Control Systems AC Project South unit, which currently consists of approximately 10 employees and 12 consultants. Their main task is to support the investment activities within Svenska Kraftnät with technical competence and to define requirements for the technical design of our facilities.

About you

Requirements

We want you to have a University College degree, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering with a focus on electrical power, energy systems, or equivalent. You may also have acquired relevant competence in other ways that the employer considers equivalent. We also want you to:

  • Be communicative and express yourself well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
  • Have a valid driver's license (Category B).
  • Have several years of experience working with control systems for transmission networks at 130–400 kV or hydropower stations (>40 MW production/station).

We consider it meritorious if you have good knowledge of relay protection systems for transmission networks, control equipment, remote control, automation, auxiliary power systems, and project work.

  • The position is a permanent employment.
  • The location is Sundbyberg, Västerås, Gothenburg, Sundsvall, Luleå, or Sollefteå, but home stationing can also be discussed.
