Job Description

At our Technical Systems section, we work with operation and maintenance projects concerning technical installations in road infrastructure in the Stockholm area within the technical areas: Control Systems, Telecommunication Systems, and Traffic Equipment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with complex technical systems in some of Sweden's most important infrastructure facilities. As a Project Manager, you are responsible for planning, leading, and following up on projects related to traffic equipment and traffic systems in road infrastructure. The work includes, among other things, carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as reinvestments and improvement measures for traffic equipment in areas such as:

  • Traffic systems such as Motor Control Systems (MCS), traffic measurement, traffic signals, and traffic information
  • Technical solutions within complex facilities such as tunnels and movable bridges
  • Development and upgrades of traffic systems

You will work closely with resources such as project engineers, construction managers, and technical specialists, and represent the Swedish Transport Administration in dialogue with contractors, suppliers, and other authorities.

In the role, you will among other things:

  • plan, budget, and conduct procurements for your own operations
  • follow up on project time, cost, and content
  • coordinate contractors, consultants, and internal resources
  • work proactively with risk, safety, and work environment
  • contribute to the development and improvement of working methods and technical solutions

Your Development

As a Project Manager at the Swedish Transport Administration, you become part of one of Sweden's largest client organizations. Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a driven and analytical project manager with the ability to drive projects forward in complex environments. You build trust in collaborations and have an easy time communicating with different types of actors, from technical specialists to contractors and authorities. You work independently, are solution-oriented, and have a clear focus on quality and results.

We are looking for you who have:

  • a university or college education of at least 180 hp (120 credits) with a technical focus, or alternatively another education combined with relevant work experience that we assess as equivalent
  • current and job-relevant experience of project management or a corresponding leadership role within technical systems or installations in infrastructure or technical facilities
  • current and job-relevant experience from contracting activities
  • a driver's license for passenger cars
  • good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • good knowledge of English in speech and writing

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • experience with traffic systems such as Motor Control Systems (MCS), traffic measurement, and traffic information
  • relevant experience of working in road tunnels, bridges, or similar facilities
  • experience from procurements and contracts according to LOU and AB/ABT
  • experience in negotiation and contract management
