Ladan i Backa is a visitor farm and meeting place for children, young people, families, and other visitors. The operation is run by a non-profit association and is based on the meeting between people, animals, and nature. The farm houses cows, sheep, goats, pigs, and rabbits. Here, animal activities, animal meetups, holiday programs, study visits, and other activities for children and young people are conducted.

We are now looking for a Stable Manager who wants to take responsibility for the daily operation of the stable and animal activities together with the operations manager, staff, and volunteers.

Our vision is that everyone should feel that "here I can be, here I have a place, and here things happen." Ladan is in an exciting phase of development where our facilities are undergoing a major refresh, and we are on the verge of a major push for more leader-led activities around animals, nature, crafts, and community. We are looking for animal-savvy and social firebrands to help us contribute to a living meeting place for all generations.

Job Responsibilities

As the Stable Manager, you are responsible for the daily operations at Ladan in Backa. You plan and coordinate the practical work together with the manager, staff, volunteers, and participants.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Planning and coordination of daily work at the facility.
• Supervision and care of the animals according to current routines and regulations.
• Training of animals, e.g., teaching them to walk on halters or leads.
• Introduction and leadership of staff and volunteers in daily work.
• Contact with visitors, schools, and other groups participating in the activities.
• Participation in the planning and implementation of activities, holiday programs, and events.
• Responsibility for daily order, safety, and well-being in the area.
• Simple administration, documentation, and ordering.
• Simple maintenance of premises.
• Identify needs for maintenance and improvements at the facility and carry these out according to the operations manager's instructions.

The position involves close collaboration with the operations manager, who is responsible for finance, overall animal welfare, business development, and external authority contacts.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Experience with cows, sheep, goats, or other farm animals.
• Experience in training larger animals.
• Experience working with children and young people.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Ability to plan and organize daily work.
• Computer literacy.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• Ability to work practically and physically outdoors.
