About the Assignment

A Swedish government agency is seeking an experienced and engaged Interim Manager for Operational Hydrography for a fixed-term assignment starting on September 1, 2026.

As the Deputy Manager for Operational Hydrography, you will play a central role in the management of the operations, contributing to ensuring an efficient, safe, and well-functioning organization. Operational Hydrography consists of approximately 37 employees working aboard ships across Sweden.

You will have personnel and work environment responsibility for about half of the employees and will be able to lead the entire operation when needed. The role involves close collaboration with the Manager of Operational Hydrography, the Manager of Hydrography Administration, and other members of the Production Management leadership group.

Scope

• Full-time (100%)
• Assignment period: 2026-09-01 – 2027-02-28
• Location: Norrköping
• Travel with overnight stays within Sweden occurs

The work is primarily performed on-site in Norrköping. The possibility of remote work 1–2 days per week may exist depending on the operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct employee and salary reviews
• Coach and develop employees
• Responsible for personnel planning related to ship operations
• Follow up on work environment rounds, risk analyses, and workplace meetings
• Drive recruitment processes together with the responsible manager
• Actively participate in the work and leadership group of the Production Management
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of the deputy manager role

Qualifications

Requirements

• Documented and long-term experience in leading front-line staff
• Experience with full operational, result, and work environment responsibility
• Experience in leading remote teams
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish

Meritorious

• Experience as an interim manager for at least one year
• Experience leading staff in 24/7 operations
• Experience from security-sensitive operations
• Experience from maritime environments or water-related operations
