About the Role

We are now looking for new guard colleagues for employment within our security operations at Securitas in Sundsvall.

As a guard, your primary task is to deliver safety to our customers. You do this, for example, in a monitoring center or at an access control point. As a guard, you have greater authority than a standard security guard and often work in close cooperation with our customers' staff at sites of crucial importance to Sweden's security.

The work is independent and often feels free, but comes with significant responsibility.

The tasks are highly varied. As a guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, day or night. Shift lengths vary, but are often 12-hour shifts. Since we are an operation that runs year-round, working every other weekend is common.

You will, for example:

• Handle cases within your area of responsibility
• Ensure that no unauthorized persons gain access to the sites
• Staff static sites as needed

Requirements

Requirements:

• Civil or military guard training; if you have completed guard training with the Swedish Armed Forces as part of their basic training (GMU), this can be validated for civilian use. The guard training and GMU must have been completed in 2016 or later, and your certificate of completion must not be older than five years at the time of application.
• Passed grades in Swedish from upper secondary school
• Category B driver's license
• Swedish citizenship
• Passed security clearance

Merits if you also have:

• Passed grades in English from upper secondary school and good knowledge of the English language
• HAS training
• Complete guard training, VU1 and VU2
• Previous experience in guarding protected sites, other security work, or security operations.

You have a natural aptitude for structure and order, and a vigilance that others trust. This is a role for you if you have life experience and are now ready to use it to make a difference.

Security Clearance

Note that the position is classified and involves undergoing a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval under current regulations, security interviews, background checks, and register checks will be conducted. The assessment aims to investigate compliance with the law, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities according to the Security Service's regulations and guidelines. Information collected may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment of you, your life situation, and financial circumstances when evaluating your suitability.

In some cases, a corresponding check may be conducted on the person you live with or have a similar relationship with.

To be considered for the position, you must therefore (at a minimum):

• Not appear in the Swedish Police Authority's various registers, e.g., suspicion register, criminal record register, etc.
• Have sound finances; no payment defaults, unregulated debts, and not appear with debt collection agencies or the Swedish Enforcement Authority

Salary and terms of employment are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
