Job Description

As a physiotherapist at the health center, you work both independently and in a team to assess and treat primary care patients with varying diagnoses. You will primarily see patients with musculoskeletal issues, but other diagnoses such as COPD and stroke may also occur. Patients are referred by doctors or district nurses, or they can seek referral-free care directly. You will have your own clinic and meet patients individually as well as in groups, guiding them to actively influence their own health. The role also includes prescribing FAR (a specific Swedish rehabilitation prescription), fitting assistive devices, and supervising physiotherapy students. Improvement work is an important part of the daily operations.

About the Workplace

The 11 region-run health centers and the Health Center Emergency Clinics in Västmanland are operated as an intrapreneurship with a management board and Region Västmanland as the owner. The operations are united under the name Närvården Västmanland, and together we strive to offer accessible and high-quality primary care throughout the county. The health center is centrally located in Hallstahammar, and the operations also include a branch clinic in Kolbäck. Parking is available adjacent to the health center, along with good bus connections to Västerås and other locations.

We are responsible for approximately 12,350 registered patients and offer doctor and district nurse clinics, maternal and child health care, as well as rehabilitation with physiotherapists and counseling services. Dietitians, wellness centers, and occupational therapists are also present at the health center on certain days of the week.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist. If you have previous experience working in primary care, it is highly valued. We would appreciate if you have training in OMT and behavioral medicine, Axelina, McKenzie, and acupuncture. Knowledge of basic body awareness, pain, and stress management is advantageous for the position. You have good skills in assessing patients' functional levels and treating, training, or giving advice based on evidence-based knowledge when available. Experience with the medical record system Cosmic is preferred, along with good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

You are confident and stable in your profession and work independently and in a structured manner. You have a flexible working style and a good ability to collaborate with others. Your ability to communicate clearly is strong, and you ensure that you understand and are understood. You easily empathize with others' situations and adapt your work to each individual's prerequisites. We place great importance on personal qualities, flexibility, and teamwork. Employment Terms

Permanent full-time position with start date as agreed.
