About FMLOG and the Procurement Unit

The Swedish Armed Forces Procurement Unit is located within the FMLOG (Swedish Armed Forces Logistics) unit and is responsible for the Armed Forces' procurement and purchasing in accordance with current procurement legislation. The work we perform is crucial for the Armed Forces' supply chain as well as strategic and operational success. We work according to a defined category management methodology and continuously focus on competence development.

The Procurement Unit consists of seven departments geographically distributed across Sweden. We are now looking for several strategic purchasers for our department "Operational Support Goods and Services," where we are responsible for the categories of vehicles, transport, logistics services as part of host nation support, and maintenance of military systems. We are unpretentious, helpful, and value mutual trust.

Main Responsibilities

In your role as a purchaser, you will among other things:

• Execute orders and call-offs on contracts within assigned areas.
• Conduct procurements for amounts below the direct procurement threshold according to current laws, decisions, routines, and instructions.
• Perform renewed competitive tenders and participate in project work.
• Investigate incoming assignments (orders/needs) regarding status (authorization, delivery, channel selection, etc.).
• Facilitate invoice processing through correct purchase orders, order acknowledgments, and exception handling.
• Continuously support the ordering customer regarding laws, decisions, guidelines, and instructions.

Requirements

Qualifications

Properties required for the position include:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as economics and logistics, or vocational higher education (YH) in strategic purchasing or procurement.
• Knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU) or the Act on Procurement in the Defence and Security Area (LUFS).
• Good knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, both in Swedish and English.

Meritorious Experience

Other Information

This is a permanent position starting with a 6-month probationary period.

Start date as soon as possible according to agreement.
