Rättvik Health Centre welcomes you as a General Practitioner Specialist. Rättvik Health Centre is recruiting a Specialist in General Medicine with an interest in supervising AT, BT, and ST doctors. Rättvik is located on the shores of Lake Siljan, offering a wide range of activities for a good and varied leisure time. The municipality consists of a town center and many villages, providing housing options for everyone. We handle the entire primary care mandate. This creates a varied work environment; we divide tasks among ourselves: elderly care and special housing, child and adolescent care with an adolescent clinic, child health services, and maternal health services.

The health center is currently short of approximately two specialists in general medicine to allow for a reasonable patient list. This creates the conditions for high continuity for our patients and for you as a doctor. Therefore, we are now seeking two specialists in general medicine and are particularly interested in candidates with an interest in supervising future colleagues.

The health center employs a rural medicine approach as the distance to the nearest hospital is somewhat long. This provides a varied workday, including day-shift duties where equipment such as plain X-ray, ear, and eye microscopes are available on-site. This can spare patients long travels and contributes to "Close Care." We perform basic examinations of all organ systems, including gynecological examinations as well as proctology and rectoscopy.

We are changing our working methods during the year to work more clearly towards continuity from first contact and to create teamwork. The primary care mandate in our municipality is so broad that it is difficult to describe everything in text. As a Specialist in General Medicine, you will have standard responsibilities with the entire primary care mandate located within the building and a rural-oriented working method. The exception is rounds at Säbo (special housing) and home care, which are municipalized but staffed by doctors from the health center. The role includes on-call duties outside office hours for the municipalities of Rättvik and Leksand. Additionally, we staff a primary care emergency service in Mora on a few occasions per month. Staffing for these is planned by the doctors themselves.

• have a B driving license
