About the Role

Occupational Therapist sought for a rural health center - Make a difference where it matters most! Do you want to work closely with patients, in a setting where your skills truly make a difference? We are now looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist for the Älvdalen Health Center in northern Dalarna - based at Älvdalen Health Center with responsibilities also extending to Särna Health Center in the same municipality. Here, you will enjoy varied, independent, and meaningful work in a rural area where proximity to patients, nature, and colleagues creates a unique work environment.

About Us

Occupational therapy is part of Primary Care and is in an exciting phase of development. Our expertise is increasingly in demand, and we work broadly across several important areas, such as mental health, pain rehabilitation, activity capacity assessments, and memory investigations. We have a close and well-functioning collaboration with physiotherapists, speech therapists, doctors, rehabilitation coordinators, as well as nurses and assistant nurses. Together, we create safe, person-centered, and accessible care - adapted to the needs of rural areas. Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist with us, you will work broadly and independently with both individual interventions and team work.

Your areas of responsibility may include, among other things:

• Hand rehabilitation
• Memory investigations and basic dementia assessments
• Activity capacity assessments for disability pension cases
• Cognitive assessments and treatment
• Provision of assistive devices
• Patient and relative education (e.g., arthritis school)
• Group therapy within balance and fall prevention, activity balance (ReDO), time management (Ha Koll), and energy management
• Telephone counseling

Tasks are distributed within the work group, providing opportunities for specialization in specific areas.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

Merits:

• Experience from primary care or other operational areas
• Interest in and knowledge of cognitive assessments
