Now is your chance to join a wonderful team at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) clinic in Avesta, a team where everyone is passionate about helping children, young people, and their families. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Dalarna offers specialist care for children and young people up to 18 years old with serious mental health issues and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities. Our scope of practice is broad, covering questions regarding mental health and disabilities occurring in younger children up to the end of adolescence. We work in a cross-professional manner and collaborate with other actors to provide the best assessments and care for our children and young people.

The Avesta clinic is one of five outpatient clinics, staffed by psychologists, social workers, nurses, assistant nurses, occupational therapists, secretaries, doctors, and a manager.

As an occupational therapist at a BUP clinic, you will support the children at BUP who need assistive devices, structure in their daily lives, and good routines regarding sleep, meals, and school. You will help children become more independent and support parents in preventive work. You will also provide information to children and parents about disabilities such as ADHD and autism, both individually and in groups. During initial assessments, you will have the opportunity to meet the child with their family and assess various psychiatric symptoms and diagnoses. In collaboration with other team members, you will participate in child psychiatric investigation and treatment work.

Together with you, we will shape this position to be meaningful, enjoyable, and developmental for you, the team, and our patients. Working hours are during the day, Monday–Friday, with the possibility of flexible hours if the department allows. Region Dalarna offers a wellness allowance of 2,000 SEK/year.

• Licensed occupational therapist.
• We prefer that you have knowledge in the neuropsychiatric field and experience working with children, young people, and families.
