Description

As a cook in Arjeplog Municipality, you will prepare nutritious and delicious meals for schools, preschools, and care facilities. You will become an important part of a team that creates great dining experiences for the municipality's residents.

The role involves both independent responsibility and close collaboration with colleagues and the kitchen manager.

Responsibilities

In the role of cook, you will among other things:

• Prepare and serve meals according to set menus and nutritional recommendations.
• Prepare ingredients and participate in the entire production process in the kitchen.
• Ensure that food hygiene and self-control according to HACCP are followed.
• Handle special diets and allergen-free meals in a safe and correct manner.
• Participate in planning, ordering, and follow-up together with the kitchen manager.
• Contribute to reducing food waste and working towards sustainable meal production.
• Contribute to a good working environment and a positive collaborative climate.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Education in restaurant and large-scale catering or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Experience working as a cook, preferably in large-scale kitchens or public meal services.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Merits

• Experience from school kitchens, preschools, or elderly care.
• Knowledge of sustainable cooking and working with reduced food waste.
• Category B driver's license.

• Responsible and structured.
• Good collaboration and communication skills.
• Solution-oriented and flexible.
• Independent with good decision-making skills.
