Department Description

The Automation Department is part of the maintenance organization, which consists of nearly 90 employees responsible for maintaining our production facilities in Grängesberg and Hällefors. The department performs everything from emergency to planned maintenance, as well as driving projects and improvements, on behalf of its internal customers. The Automation team, comprising 20 employees, is responsible for all electrical and automation-related maintenance in production. This also includes production-proximate IT systems, i.e., the layer between the machine control systems and the higher-level IT systems managed by the IT department.

The Role

As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include corrective maintenance as well as preventive maintenance. You will work throughout the entire value chain, from the brewhouse to the bottling line. The position involves shift work on a 5-shift rotation.

Examples of tasks include:

• Troubleshooting
• Service and maintenance of process equipment
• Replacement of components
• Reporting completed work in our maintenance system, Maximo

Your main points of contact will be other shift technicians, the rest of the Automation Department, maintenance staff, operators, and line technicians. We strive for continuous development of our operations, and you are expected to participate in continuous improvement work, root cause analyses, and provide feedback that develops routines, people, and machines.

Your Profile

• Vocational upper secondary education in electrical engineering and automation, or equivalent qualification.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English, as the role involves contact with both Swedish and international suppliers.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to easily understand technical documentation.
• Advantageous: Experience from the process industry, particularly in controlling machinery and process equipment.
• Advantageous: Experience with Siemens Step7, TIA, WinCC, Profinet, and other bus systems.

As a person, you are service-oriented, structured, have strong analytical skills, and are goal- and results-driven to ensure projects reach their targets. You are proactive and make decisions based on facts. You collaborate easily and communicate well with colleagues across different departments. You have experience leading others and may take a leading role in the tasks you drive.
