Decontamination Specialist for Barsebäck Nuclear Technology Facility

We are now looking for dedicated and responsible decontamination specialists to join our team in Barsebäck. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a unique operation where safety, quality, and collaboration are in focus.

About the role

As a decontamination specialist at ISS, working at the Barsebäck Nuclear Technology Facility, you will become an important part of the decontamination and demolition work within the facility's decommissioning project. You will work alongside experienced colleagues in an operation where safety, precision, and responsibility are crucial to ensuring the work is carried out safely and efficiently.

In this role, you will among other things:

  • Carry out decontamination work in various parts of the facility
  • Participate in demolition and dismantling work
  • Work in accordance with current safety, protection, and radiation protection regulations
  • Contribute to order, cleanliness, and continuous improvements in the operation
  • Perform other tasks as required by the operation

You will work closely with competent colleagues in a team that currently consists of approximately 65 employees who together deliver various service solutions to the customer.

The position is located at the Barsebäck Nuclear Technology Facility in Kävlinge Municipality and involves a permanent full-time employment with an initial probationary period of six months. Working hours are primarily during the day, but variations may occur depending on operational needs.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are responsible, flexible, and enjoy practical and physical work. You are a team player who collaborates well with others while also having the ability to work independently when the situation requires it. You have a strong safety mindset, take initiative, and are happy to contribute improvement suggestions to develop the operation.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)
  • Previous experience in service-oriented work
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Good physical fitness

Meritorious qualifications

  • Experience from nuclear technology operations
  • Experience in decontamination or demolition work
  • Forklift operator training
  • Radiation Protection Technician §7 certification
  • Other relevant training or certificates within industrial and safety work
