About our open position

We are looking for a Chief Physician/Specialist Physician in Emergency Care. Here, you will become part of our group of 20 physicians who, in a positive atmosphere, drive the development of emergency care. This is done through various processes, improvement projects, and regular training, both independently and in collaboration with other units. Our operations also include ambulance services, which provide good conditions for collaboration and the development of prehospital care. If you are interested, part of your working time can be allocated to our Mobile Emergency Doctor Team (MALT), where you, together with a nurse, provide emergency care in patients' homes.

As a Chief Physician/Specialist Physician, you will have the opportunity to develop others through your responsibility for supervising, training ST (specialization) doctors, and directing the daily work at the unit.

The emergency doctors are currently staffed every day of the week from 07:30 to 21:30.

About us

The Emergency Care Unit includes the emergency department and ambulance services. The emergency department at Södra Älvsborg Hospital in Borås is a large workplace with approximately 120 employees and around 60,000 visitors per year. We treat acutely ill patients in fields such as medicine, surgery, orthopedics, infectious diseases, and neurology.

Your profile

You must have a Swedish medical license and a Swedish certificate of specialist competence in emergency care. You must master the Swedish language at level C1 or higher. We place great emphasis on your social competence and ability to collaborate.
