HVB Sörmlandshem is a treatment-oriented residential care home (HVB) with five places for boys aged 13–17. The facility is well-staffed and provides structured 24-hour care focusing on everyday treatment, motivation, and relationship-building. The residence is located in a quiet, rural environment outside Julita, midway between Katrineholm, Vingåker, and Eskilstuna.

Job Responsibilities

As treatment staff at HVB Sörmlandshem, you work closely with the youths in their daily lives. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Acting as a contact person.
• Supporting youths in daily routines, social development, and structure.
• Conducting motivational work and relationship-building activities.
• Participating in daily activities, physical exercise, and leisure time.
• Documenting and following up on interventions according to established routines.

Treatment work is integrated into daily life and takes place throughout the entire work shift.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Education as a social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or leisure-time pedagogue.
• Experience working with youths in need of support and structure.
• Experience with documentation and record-keeping.
• Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

Merits:

• Training as a CBT therapist or addiction therapist.
• Experience working in HVB homes.
• Knowledge of TMO, ICDP, or MI (Motivational Interviewing).
• Experience from youth centers, schools, or as a student assistant.

Personal Attributes

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable in their adult role, has good collaboration skills, and thrives in structured, relationship-oriented work. You are responsible, patient, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours

Work is performed according to a schedule, including afternoons/evenings and sleeping on-call shifts. Evenings, nights, and weekends are included.

Other Information

The workplace is located in a rural area with limited public transport options. A driver's license is therefore mandatory.
