Miss Mary of Sweden develops and sells women's underwear with a focus on high quality, functionality, fit, and comfort. Founded in 1957, the company has evolved in recent years into an international e-commerce brand with sales in multiple markets. We have offices in Borås and Tallinn, and our products are sold in more than 18 countries.

We are now looking for a meticulous, structured, and practically skilled seamstress/seamster to join our sewing atelier in Borås.

In our product development, ideas take shape and become products that truly make a difference in our customers' daily lives. With extensive experience, we drive development all the way – from insight and design to finished product – with a strong focus on quality, functionality, fit, and comfort.

As a seamstress/seamster in our atelier, you will become an important part of Miss Mary's product development process. You will work closely with designers/product developers and product coordinators on new and existing models, where patterns, materials, fit, and functionality are developed and refined.

In this role, you will sew first samples, grading samples, photo samples, customer samples, and test garments according to given specifications and priorities. With your practical experience, you will also provide valuable feedback regarding sewing techniques, material handling, details, and feasibility.

Together, we ensure that Miss Mary's products meet our standards regarding quality, fit, measurements, sizing, and functionality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Sew first samples, grading samples, photo samples, customer samples, and test garments according to given specifications.
• Ensure that samples are produced with high quality and according to agreed timelines.
• Work from patterns, sketches, and technical specifications.
• Provide practical feedback on sewing, material handling, fit, and feasibility.
• Identify deviations, areas for improvement, or ambiguities in specifications and escalate these issues.
• Handle cutting, materials, and samples within the development and testing process.
• Support the handling of incoming materials and samples within the workflow of product development and the sewing atelier.
• Contribute to an efficient and structured working method in close collaboration with the team in the atelier and product development.

You will work closely with colleagues in product development, design, and the sewing atelier. Teamwork, clear communication, and a flat hierarchy are important parts of everyday life.

We also believe you are flat-hierarchy, solution-oriented, and flexible. You have patience for details but can also work efficiently and prioritize when multiple samples and specifications need to be handled in parallel.

We believe you have:

• Documented experience in sewing, preferably sample sewing or production-adjacent sewing.
• Strong ability to work from patterns, sketches, and technical specifications.
• A good sense for materials, details, and finish.
• Understanding of how sewing, materials, and construction affect quality, fit, and feasibility.
• Experience handling various materials, preferably elastic or technically demanding materials.
• Ability to work meticulously, structured, and independently.
• Good command of Swedish and/or English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

• Experience with lingerie, swimwear, corsetry, or other products where fit, functionality, and material feel are crucial.
• Experience from an atelier, product development team, or production-adjacent environment.
• Experience in production-preparatory sewing.
