The planned activities in Obstetrics offer specialist care during pregnancy and up to twelve weeks after childbirth. At the Ultrasound Clinic, fetal diagnostics are performed, and the unit serves as the regional center for diagnosing diseases and malformations in fetuses. The planned activities also include a Specialist Maternity Care Clinic and a Clinic for Pregnant and New Mothers, with which we collaborate. We work in teams consisting of midwives, section leaders, assistant nurses, doctors, medical secretaries, and clerical staff. The department performs approximately 19,000 early ultrasounds, routine ultrasounds, and KUB examinations per year, as well as 3,000 specialist ultrasounds. We have a mixed practice that includes regional healthcare as well as national specialized care. Extensive research is conducted here, and we have an active educational program that also includes course arrangements.

As a midwife at the ultrasound clinic, you will work independently on early ultrasounds, routine ultrasound examinations, growth checks, and KUB examinations.
