Do you want to use your own experiences of mental ill-health and recovery to make a difference for others? We are now looking for a peer support for our psychiatric ward in Gällivare. In this role, you contribute a unique perspective and become an important part of the patients' recovery process.
By sharing experiences, spreading hope, and showing that recovery is possible, you strengthen patients' participation, self-efficacy, empowerment, and optimism for the future.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for you who are a nurse (skötare) and have personal experience of mental ill-health, as well as good knowledge of the Swedish language. If you have completed training as a peer support, have experience from psychiatry, social psychiatry, or user organizations, or have experience leading conversations, groups, or training sessions, it is an advantage for the position. Similarly, if you are Sami-speaking or have knowledge of other languages or knowledge of Cosmic, it is an advantage. We would also like you to have experience of working within healthcare and experience of psychiatry.

What you will work with
As a peer support, you use your own experiences of mental ill-health and recovery in your meetings with patients.
Your tasks may include, among other things:
The role does not involve providing treatment or making care decisions, but rather being a support by creating recognition, understanding, and optimism for the future.
What we offer you
Information about the position
We offer a project employment at 20% for 3 years. Start date as soon as possible according to agreement. Working hours according to agreement.
Due to the nature of the operations and safety requirements, applicants to our operations must be prepared to provide extracts from the criminal record.
Selection and interviews take place continuously, and the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
