You are welcome to have some form of education and/or experience in the profession, but it is not a requirement. You are also welcome to be quick to learn new IT systems. If you speak Finnish or Meänkieli, it is an extra plus.

Requirements:

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You need good knowledge of the Swedish language.
• For work within home care services, you need a B driver's license.

Your tasks:

Which activity suits you?

With us, you can work in elderly care homes or within home care services, as well as in LSS residences or as a personal assistant. The roles differ, so please specify where you wish to substitute primarily.

• Elderly Care Home: In our residences, people live who need support and care around the clock. This may involve physical disabilities due to age or illness. You are part of a team with care assistants, assistant nurses, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists, and you receive tasks based on your level of competence. There is often a nice community on the residences and activities in everyday life.
• Home Care: Your role is to support the care recipient to live as independently as possible. The work takes place in the care recipient's own home. It is a coaching role, and the job is free and varied with great responsibility. You travel around Övertorneå by car.
• LSS Residence: In our residences, people live who need support and care around the clock. This may involve physical and/or mental functional variations. You are part of a team with supervisors, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists, and you receive tasks based on your level of competence. There is often a nice community on the residences and activities in everyday life.
• Personal Assistant: Your role is to support the care recipient to live as independently as possible. The work takes place in the care recipient's own home. It is a coaching role, and the job is free and varied with great responsibility.

A summer in elderly care and/or social care gives valuable experiences regardless of your future plans. If you are studying for a healthcare education, you have the chance here to train in interaction, close care, and gain experience working with the elderly or people with functional variations. In many parts of healthcare, the elderly will be the largest patient group in the future.

Your working hours

There will be opportunities to work during the whole or part of the summer. With us, you work with varying schedules such as day/evening, night, and weekends, depending on the activity. The variation means you also have time to enjoy the summer alongside your work.

Employment conditions:

The employment covers the months of June–August 2026. The position is a substitute contract starting as agreed. We offer full-time positions, but part-time options are available and should be specified in the application. We have a tobacco-free workplace.
