School Nurse in Strängnäs Municipality

You will belong to the Central Child and Student Health (CBEH), together with other school nurses, school psychologists, school doctors, and your manager, who is the operations manager for the medical services of student health. Your placement and workplace will be at the school(s) where you work. As a school nurse, you will also have close collaboration with other school nurses within Strängnäs Municipality through joint operational meetings.

Job Responsibilities

You will work promotively and preventively to create a good environment for students' health, learning, and development through health visits, vaccinations, health follow-ups, and work in the student health team at the school. In the Student Health Team (EHT), you will contribute your expertise in medicine, nursing, and student health, collaborating closely with the principal, deputy principal, counselor, special educator, psychologist, guardians, as well as regional and external authorities such as social services, habilitation, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), and primary care.

You will have close collaboration with school nurses within Strängnäs Municipality through operational meetings and joint Appraisal and Development Talks (APT), where employees from the Central Child and Student Health also participate. As a new school nurse with us, we offer you an introductory education and mentorship, depending on your previous work experience in the profession or your preferences as a new employee.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are/has:

• Registered nurse with specialist education in Health Care for Children and Adolescents, District Nurse, or the School Nurse Program.
• Good computer skills.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

The following are meritorious:

• Experience working as a school nurse and/or other supportive work with children and adolescents.
• Experience working in systems such as PMO.
