We are looking for a Sales Assistant who wants to play a key role in driving the store's results through excellent service, strong execution, and good teamwork.

In this role, you will be part of the store's daily operations and work across various areas to ensure customers receive the best possible experience, while contributing to sales and operational quality. The role also includes extended responsibility as the Firearms Responsible Person.

As the Firearms Responsible Person, you ensure that the store's sales and handling of firearms, firearm parts, and ammunition take place in accordance with current legislation and internal procedures. You are the store's approved contact person for firearm-related matters, dialogue with authorities, and responsible for secure storage. You are also responsible for stock control, documentation, and reporting. You contribute to the training and guidance of colleagues to ensure that handling and sales are conducted safely and correctly.

What you will work with

Sales and Customer Service

• Proactively contact customers and contribute to sales
• Provide good and professional service and ensure customers find the right products
• Contribute to achieving daily and weekly sales targets through proactive selling
• Use product knowledge to guide customers, recommend relevant products, and drive upselling
• Contribute to campaigns, seasonal activities, and prioritized sales areas
• Provide qualified advice to customers regarding firearms, ammunition, and related products

Store Operations

• Maintain store standards and ensure good product presentation
• Perform daily routines so the store is well-organized, clean, and ready for sales
• Stock shelves, check prices, and execute campaigns
• Assist with merchandise deliveries, unpacking, and organizing in the warehouse
• Work at the cash register when needed and follow current procedures
• Follow occupational health and safety procedures and ensure a safe and secure working environment
• Ensure correct handling, storage, and control of firearms and ammunition

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with colleagues across different departments in the store
• Participate in meetings, training, and store activities
• Share knowledge and contribute to colleagues' development
• Contribute to a good working environment and team spirit
• Provide training and guidance to employees regarding procedures and regulations related to firearms

Qualifications and Personal Attributes:

• Valid firearms license
• At least 2 years of documented experience in sales or handling of firearms and ammunition
• Good experience and knowledge of firearms legislation and control procedures
• Service-oriented and enjoys helping customers
• Proactive, reliable, and comfortable with a high work pace
• A team player with a positive attitude
• Interest in retail, sports, or an active lifestyle
• Flexible and willing to work across different areas in the store
• Structured and responsible, with the ability to handle requirements related to safety and regulatory compliance
