F 16 is responsible for the Uppsala Garrison and the operation of Uppsala Airport. The wing is also responsible for the 24/7, year-round surveillance of Swedish airspace and leads the Air Force's combat aircraft in the air. About the Unit

The 163rd Garrison Battalion consists of the Logistics Company, the Garrison Company, and soon also the Training Company. Together, they create the conditions for assigned units to focus on their main tasks. The battalion's role and duties are evolving rapidly to meet the new challenges facing Sweden and the Swedish Armed Forces.

The Garrison Company is responsible for garrison coordination at Uppsala Garrison. The company hosts the garrison's dispatch and archives, sports service, dog service, operational service including training, caseworkers with various areas of expertise, administrators, and maintenance workers.

Main Responsibilities

The Support Platoon of the Garrison Company is now looking for a Maintenance Worker. As a Maintenance Worker, you will perform building maintenance, such as repairs, assembly, and upkeep of the garrison's common areas and office spaces. Handling administrative tasks, supporting other parts of the platoon, and resolving other arising work tasks are also part of the main duties.

Qualifications

• Completed upper secondary education
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Good computer skills
• Previous work experience as a maintenance worker/building caretaker
• Category B driver's license

We are looking for you who are a team player but can also work independently, are solution-oriented, handy, proactive, and service-oriented. You need to be able to handle many different types of tasks with varying timeframes. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Other Information

Employment Type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces may apply a six-month probationary period.

Workload: Full-time

Work Location: Uppsala. F 16 also has operations in other locations, which may involve occasional business travel.

Working Hours: Primarily daytime. Evening and weekend duty may occur during training activities.

The unit is part of the Swedish Air Force and is responsible for the operation and surveillance of Uppsala Airport, as well as the training of conscripts in various Air Force roles.
