Värend Fire and Rescue Services is a municipal association responsible for fire and rescue services for the residents of Alvesta, Älmhult, and Växjö municipalities. Currently, approximately 300 people work with us, distributed across the association's fire stations. Värend Fire and Rescue Services' mission is to provide equal and satisfactory protection against accidents concerning people's lives and health, as well as property and the environment. Job Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who wants to combine accident prevention work with operational duty.
The Incident Commanders at Värend Fire and Rescue Services work with overarching operational issues combined with operational duty. In this role, you will work with accident prevention issues and regulatory enforcement, such as supervision within LSO (Local Safety Ordinance) and LBE (Building and Environmental Code), permit processing for LBE, referral handling, self-inspection, and information/advisory services.
In the function of Incident Commander, you will be responsible for creating direction and coordination of an ongoing rescue operation at the scene of an accident, and creating foresight over time. This is to prevent or limit damage and mitigate consequences as much as possible in the event of an individual accident. Incident Command also aims to ensure that the execution of a rescue operation is as efficient as possible to influence the course of damage and meet assistance needs.
The position is located at and based out of the Växjö full-time station.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a completed degree as a Fire Engineer and a completed advanced training course in fire and rescue services for Fire Engineers (RUB), or equivalent education and experience that we assess as equivalent.
You have at least a Category B driver's license.
Previous experience in operational work in a leadership position is meritorious.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: As agreed.
