Main duties

As a Close Protection Soldier, you work within the framework of your own section. You work actively to develop business and working environment issues. You, together with your employees, ensure that we achieve the result we strive for and also ensure that it happens in the most effective way within the frameworks we have to follow. As a Close Protection Soldier, you work actively to maintain and develop your soldier skills, your physical fitness as well as your ability together with other employees in the department.

Examples of duties include

  • Participate in work to develop processes, routines, roles and job descriptions to streamline and facilitate work for your own section and supporting units.
  • Participate in weapon service, vehicle service, close protection as well as training and care with the group.
  • Work in the spirit of the unit to achieve the results required.
  • Act in the role of assistant to train your employees.

Qualifications

  • Completed military basic training or conscription with a passing grade.
  • Swedish citizenship.
  • Category B driver's license.
  • Passed FM Fyss additional requirement level 4.
  • Passed supplementary physical test:
    • 10km run with competitive result (around 48 min)
    • Dips with competitive result (around 15 repetitions)
    • Chins with competitive result (around 12 repetitions)
    • Bench press with own body weight as a target value (around 3 repetitions)
    • Squats with own body weight as a target value (around 10 repetitions)
  • Passed testing moments.

Merits

  • Experience and/or education in managerial positions in the Swedish Armed Forces.
  • Trained security guard.
  • Experience and/or education as a combat medic, medic or higher medical education.
  • Experience of IBSS and/or TPSS service.
  • Experience as drone operator, sharpshooter, marksman, communications operator or support shooter.
  • A, BE, C, CI, CE, C1E driver's licenses
  • Trained unit commander with a passing result.
  • Military driving license for light off-road vehicle, trailer, snowmobile and/or quad.

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who is secure, professional, unpretentious, has a high level of personal maturity and can put the team before the "I" in your role as a soldier. You can collaborate with other people at different levels and build and maintain trusting relationships. You have a good ability to solve emerging problems and find alternative solutions to the tasks we are faced with. You enjoy working independently as well as in a group.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

The employment is a military position GSS/K permanent, full-time with a 6-month probation period for those not already employed by the Swedish Armed Forces. Travel occurs in the service. Location Örebro and start as soon as possible or according to agreement.
