Job Description Background and Assignment Description

The organization is responsible for ensuring that socially critical infrastructure is operated in a safe, sustainable, and cost-effective manner. The operations are conducted as a government agency and have approximately 2,000 employees distributed between the headquarters and several regional offices in Sweden.

The organization has signed an agreement for new office premises for its headquarters. The premises cover approximately 52,000 square meters and are located in an established business area with good access to services and communications. For certain parts of the project, the organization will act as the client and be responsible for design and implementation according to current regulations. Move-in is planned for the beginning of 2030.

The assignment concerns a consultant role within physical security. The role requires general knowledge of physical security and includes both practical and administrative tasks. To succeed in the role, the consultant must be proactive, results-oriented, and have the ability to create engagement, involvement, and consensus. Furthermore, a holistic perspective, good collaboration skills, and the ability to communicate complex issues in a pedagogical and easy-to-understand manner are required.

Responsibilities

• Operational responsibility for the sub-project's schedule, budget, and results.
• Develop specifications and define competence requirements for implementation.
• Ensure resource needs within the sub-project.
• Plan, monitor, and report project progress to project management and security functions.
• Collaborate with other sub-project managers and internal stakeholders on matters concerning physical security.
• Work closely with sub-project managers within IT, networking, and information security, as well as with the security coordinator.
• Provide advice and support in the implementation of physical security in dialogue with property owners and the client.
• Responsible for decision-making materials regarding physical security, such as cabling, locks, alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and related security solutions.
• Develop procurement documents according to applicable procurement regulations.
• Support the procurement function during bid evaluation.
• Prioritize, make decisions, and lead work regarding orders, deliveries, and installations.
• Review sketches, design documents, and drawings and provide feedback to the design team.
• Ensure necessary approvals before responding to external parties or the purchasing function.
• Responsible for work planning, resource allocation, and leadership related to deliveries and installations within physical security.
• Participate in project meetings and report status for the sub-project.
• Manage project risks according to the organization's procedures.
• Continuously update project status in the current project tool.
• Compile the final report for the sub-project regarding delivery, schedule, and budget.
• Responsible for handover to administration and operations after the project concludes.
