Tasks and Responsibilities
Do you want to lead and develop one of Connect Bus's business areas in a business where commerce, people, and social benefit meet?
As Business Area Manager for Region North, you will have overall responsibility for operations in Jämtland and the Norrland Coast. You are responsible for the business area's results, delivery, development, and long-term competitiveness, and ensure that operations meet high demands from transport authorities, passengers, and other stakeholders.
The role involves strategic and tactical leadership with a focus on developing the organization through your managers, creating the right conditions for operations, and driving a culture characterized by responsibility, quality, and continuous improvement. You will become a central representative for Connect Bus in dialogue with transport authorities, trade union partners, and other external collaborators, and are expected to actively contribute to the continued development and profitability of the business area.
As a member of the Swedish management group, you will also have the opportunity to influence the development of Connect Bus's operations on a national level.
Examples of Tasks
- Have overall responsibility for the business area's results, budget, quality, and goal achievement.
- Lead and develop operations managers, workshop managers, and other key functions through clear and trust-based leadership.
- Develop relationships with transport authorities and ensure proactive dialogue regarding quality, delivery, and future development.
- Drive improvement initiatives that strengthen the operation's efficiency, profitability, and organization.
- Ensure compliance with the company's requirements regarding working environment, safety, quality, and sustainability.
Your Profile
We are looking for you who are an experienced leader with documented ability to develop complex operations through other managers. You are accustomed to taking responsibility for both people, business, and results, and have a natural holistic perspective where you weigh operational needs against long-term strategic goals.
You have the ability to create trust in many different contexts and thrive in the role of representing the operation towards both employees and customers, clients, and external stakeholders. At the same time, you are clear in your leadership and have the courage to make decisions, prioritize, and drive change when the operation requires it.
To succeed in the role, you need to be structured, communicative, and business-oriented with a strong desire to develop both people and organizations. You are driven by creating long-term sustainable results and see value in building a culture characterized by trust, responsibility, and continuous improvements.
The Role Requires That You Have
- Relevant post-secondary education in areas such as transport, logistics, technology, economics, or leadership.
- Several years of experience in operational leadership within collective transport, transport, logistics, or related operations.
- Documented experience in leading managers and building high-performing management teams.
- Experience with result responsibility, budget work, and financial follow-up.
- Experience collaborating with customers, clients, authorities, or other external stakeholders.
- Experience with working environment, safety, and quality work.
- Good understanding of customer focus, business development, and quality management.
