Dishwasher at Hotel Skansen Öland – a vital part of our team

Do you want to work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, structure, and energy are second nature? We are now looking for a dishwasher for the season to join our team at Hotel Skansen Öland.

About Us

Hotel Skansen is located in Färjestaden on Öland, just after the bridgehead. We are a hotel, spa, conference, and restaurant facility in constant development – we strive to be more and work to be the obvious choice on Öland.

On our premises you will find:

• 78 hotel rooms
• Restaurant, bar, and event hall
• Conference facilities and spa
• One of the world's largest whisky cellars

During the summer, the pace is high and the days are full of action – and the dishwashing department is a key part of ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

About the Role

As a dishwasher here, you are a crucial part of the kitchen and restaurant team. You are responsible for keeping the flow going during service and ensuring that both restaurant dishes and kitchen prep dishes are handled in an efficient and structured manner.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Dishwashing for the restaurant and kitchen
• Cleaning the dishroom and dishwashing machines
• Sorting and restocking crockery
• Emptying trash and recycling
• Assisting with various practical tasks in the kitchen and restaurant

The work is physical and requires you to enjoy being on your feet throughout your shift.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who:

• Is stress-resistant and enjoys working at a fast pace
• Has good physical fitness and can handle heavy lifting
• Is detail-oriented and likes order and cleanliness
• Is responsible and helps out where needed
• Has a positive attitude and works well in a team

Previous experience is an advantage but not a requirement – the right attitude is most important.

Employment Conditions

• Seasonal employment starting immediately until September 30th
• Extension possible
• Working hours primarily 16:30–23:00
• Approx. 3–5 days per week

A driver's license or the possibility to live nearby is an advantage as public transport in the evenings is limited.
