Onshore with possibility of offshore

Electrician – Commissioning / Start-up

📍 Stord, Norway

We are now looking for experienced electricians with commissioning experience for rotational work in Norway.

The assignment starts onshore in Stord, where you will work with start-up, testing, troubleshooting, and verification of electrical systems prior to commissioning.

For the right candidates, there is also a possibility to follow the project further offshore after the initial onshore period.

This is a unique opportunity to work in an international project within the oil, gas, and energy sector, while working according to an attractive rotation schedule with longer continuous periods of leave, specifically 14 days on – 21 days off.

About the project – Onshore

The work takes place in Stord, Norway, on an onshore project.

The rigs/systems are tested, verified, and prepared for operation, meaning the work takes place on land in a safe industrial environment during the initial phase.

After the onshore phase, there is a possibility to continue the project offshore.

Job Responsibilities

As an electrician within commissioning, you work with start-up and testing of electrical systems, including:

• Pre-commissioning and system checks

• Testing and verification of electrical installations

• Troubleshooting and corrective actions for technical deviations

• Insulation measurement (megger), earthing checks, and continuity tests

• Loop checks and functional tests

• Verification of signals between equipment and control systems

• Documentation and reporting of tests and results

You work in close collaboration with instrument, automation, and mechanical teams to ensure that the systems function correctly prior to start-up.

Housing, meals & travel included

You receive a complete package where everything practical is arranged:

• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day throughout the entire project

eLinked covers all travel tickets related to the rotation, including flights and transfers to Stord.

We are looking for you who have

• Electrician education with certificates, ECY or equivalent

• Valid DSB authorization (requirement for work in Norway)

• At least 3 years of experience as an electrician

• Experience with start-up, testing, or troubleshooting of electrical systems

• Experience from commissioning, industrial, energy, or offshore projects is meritorious

Language Requirements

English, spoken and written
