F 16 is responsible for the Uppsala garrison and the operation of Uppsala Airport. F 16 is also responsible for the 24/7 surveillance of Swedish airspace and leads the Air Force's air combat forces. You will become part of a military organization undergoing change and development due to Sweden's NATO membership.

About the Unit

The main task of F 16 Section A4 is to functionally manage internal logistics at the wing level over the long term and to provide decision support for F 16. The section holds functional positions that provide directives leading the wing's operations in areas such as technical services, supply, healthcare, transport services, and management. The section includes both clerks and officers who analyze, prepare, and follow up on cases within their functional areas. A4 is the unit responsible to the Commander of F 16 to ensure that wartime units receive the correct logistical support in peace, crisis, or war, thereby maintaining and strengthening operational effectiveness.

Main Responsibilities

As a Logistics Clerk, you work with coordinating, following up, and supporting operations within material and logistics services. You will serve as a key support function for the section, the wing staff, and other units at F 16, including material administration, inventories, and follow-ups. As a member of the staff, you will also participate in other ongoing work within the staff. Your role is primarily to be an expert within the Swedish Armed Forces' support system, meaning the tasks are of an administrative nature.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Good IT skills
  • Experience in administrative work
  • Experience in logistics
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
  • Category B driver's license

Your tasks require you to learn and understand new, complex contexts and routines easily. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

MERITORIOUS

  • Knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' material and logistics processes
  • Experience working in the Swedish Armed Forces' support systems LIFT, PRIO 5/6 (SAP)
  • Logistics education (both civilian and military)
  • Completed military basic training

Other Information

Employment Type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces may apply a six-month probationary period.

Employment Level: Full-time

Work Location: Uppsala. F 16 also has operations in other locations, which may involve occasional business travel.

Working Hours: Mainly daytime. Evening and weekend duty may occur during exercise activities.

Start Date: As soon as possible, according to agreement.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting.

The unit is part of the Swedish Air Force and is responsible for the operation and surveillance of Uppsala Airport, as well as the training of conscripts in various positions within the Air Force. The unit also leads the 161st Combat Control and Air Surveillance Battalion, which controls combat aircraft in the air and handles the constant surveillance of Swedish airspace.
