At Eksjö Energi AB, you will work in an operation that is crucial for the daily lives of residents, ranging from clean drinking water and functioning wastewater systems to climate-smart district heating and sustainable waste management.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an Environmental Engineer who wants to take a key role in our environmental and sustainability work.

As an Environmental Engineer with us, you will have a central role in ensuring that our operations meet current environmental requirements and contribute to the company's sustainability goals. You will work both strategically and operationally, close to the operations and with many internal and external contacts.

Your main responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation
• Work with self-control, follow-up, and reporting
• Drive and develop environmental and sustainability work within the operations
• Coordinate environmental and sustainability issues for all operations
• Be the contact person for supervisory authorities
• Participate in or lead projects within environment, sustainability, and quality
• Develop routines and working methods related to environmental and sustainability work
• Participate in and represent environmental and sustainability work in the respective industry organizations.

Qualifications

• University or college education in environmental and/or sustainability fields, or equivalent.
• Experience of environmental work in industry, energy, water and wastewater (VA), or similar areas.
• Good knowledge of the Environmental Code and relevant legislation.
• Experience with environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
• Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
