Your Role

In the sheet metal and welding workshop at Saab Kockums Muskö, you will be part of a team where everyone plays a crucial role in the goal of completing the Navy's ships and making them sea-worthy.

You will have a variety of tasks, with a focus on renovation and conversion. Your initiative and creative solutions play a vital role for ships of different ages and sizes. The work is varied, and you will be given excellent opportunities to develop your craftsmanship and professional knowledge.

Examples of tasks:

• Welding and sheet metal work during ship renovation and conversion
• New production of single-piece components
• Inspections of e.g., anchor chains, life raft arrangements, etc.
• Various workshop tasks

The work is performed both onboard ships and in the workshop. Domestic travel may occur. Working hours are during the day, but shift work may also be required.

Your Profile

Quality is important to us in our work with customers and internally, so we appreciate that you are meticulous and solution-oriented.

Requirements:

• Experience in industry or workshop environments
• Basic knowledge of welding and sheet metal work
• Strong interest in technology
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

The position requires the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.

The role requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance process according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires a security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
