About 200 people work at the Community Development Office with the task of making Sigtuna Municipality an attractive, lively, and safe place to live and work. We plan new residential and business areas. We design and build streets and water and sewage pipes. We take care of parks and forests, as well as schoolyards, preschool yards, and playgrounds. We work with traffic issues, parking supervision, waste management, and much more. We handle regulatory enforcement, exercise supervision and control, and issue permits within our areas. We invest in our employees through good resources for competence development as well as joint activities. Sigtuna Municipality is an expanding municipality with extensive housing construction, many business establishments, and investments in the public space.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of the team working on various land and construction projects within our park, playground, and street operations in Märsta, Sigtuna, and Rosersberg. Here, you will have the opportunity to try out many different types of work within land construction.

• Some on-call duty for snow clearing may apply.
• Working hours are 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday to Thursday and 6:30 AM – 1:00 PM on Fridays.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a few years of experience in land and construction work and who thrive in practical and varied work.

A Category B driver's license is required for the position. It is an advantage if you have a Category C driver's license and experience operating machinery such as wheel loaders and forklifts.

We also consider it an advantage if you have vocational certificates in land and construction work, as well as education or diplomas in utility installation (piping).

As a person, you are good at working with others and find win-win solutions through a non-hierarchical focus on the common goal. You are flexible, receptive, and communicate in a constructive way. You are solution-oriented, quickly find solutions to emerging problems, and see opportunities in changes. You solve problems without losing sight of long-term strategies, seeing logic and connections in complex information or environments.
