We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to join the PMO Central at a government agency within the transport sector.
This is a consultancy assignment. The location is Stockholm.
The position is full-time.
The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.
The Assignment
We are seeking a Construction Project Manager for the PMO Central for investment projects in construction, industrial, and infrastructure facilities. The role entails overall responsibility for the planning, control, and execution of renovation and expansion projects in technically complex environments, where coordination between construction, process, and other technical areas is central. The assignment covers responsibility for the project's time, cost, quality, and delivery, as well as collaboration with contractors, consultants, and internal functions throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and monitor projects from start to handover.
- Responsible for the project plan, budget, schedule, resources, and decision-making materials.
- Monitor progress, economy, risks, forecasts, and deviations.
- Ensure correct documentation, reporting, and communication to the client and steering group.
- Lead and monitor contracts, ensuring work is performed according to contracts, requirements, and technical documents.
- Participate in design, review of construction documents, and quality assurance of technical documentation.
- Handle contract issues according to AB/ABT, including additional work, changes, and delivery follow-up.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, and internal functions, and lead project meetings.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Lead the project team and ensure the right competence and resources are available.
- Responsible for project closure and handover to operations.
- Collaborate with clients, authorities, and external actors.
Requirements (Mandatory)
- Civil Engineer or University College Engineer with good project management experience and technical knowledge in (Infrastructure/Real Estate, Construction), energy, process industry, or production development/manufacturing.
- Good knowledge and experience of procurement, investment calculations, and contract law.
- Experience from combined heat and power and energy industries, heavy process industry, or other industrial operations.
- Very high competence and extensive experience in leading complex projects, with the ability to take main responsibility, lead larger groups, and work with a high degree of independence.
- Knowledge within Infrastructure/Real Estate/Construction.
- Good knowledge and understanding of infrastructure, real estate, and construction issues within power and heat production, as well as experience from construction and industrial projects, especially within ROT (Renovation, Extension, Conversion), such as building systems like HVAC, lighting, protection, fire safety, electricity, roads, ground, concrete, construction projects, elevators, process and office premises, surface water systems, and security systems.
- Very good knowledge of the construction process and contract law (AB/ABT) as well as good knowledge of AMA, PBL, BBR, AML, and the PMI process. Good computer skills (e.g., MS Project, Excel, Bluebeam, SharePoint).
- Ability to describe how technology is implemented in our facilities and to lead/participate in commissioning.
- Experienced in creating and/or specifying object lists, functional descriptions, and other documentation to describe scope and function, and to verify deliveries against specifications.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Aware that the work may require security clearance.
