We are looking for a Project Manager for Electricity and BEST-MK to work with a traffic authority.

This is a consulting assignment based in Stockholm. The assignment covers 75% of a full-time position.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

We are seeking a Project Manager for Electricity and BEST-MK for projects within rail-bound infrastructure and railway facilities. The role involves leading, directing, and coordinating design work across several parallel assignments, with responsibility for progress, quality, technology, and coordination through the various phases of the projects – from design and production to handover and maintenance adaptation. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that technical documents are quality-assured, coordinated, and buildable, and acts as the client's representative in design matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design work for electricity and BEST-MK in several parallel assignments
• Establish and follow up on design schedules, deliveries, and milestones
• Lead design meetings and drive progress and technical decisions
• Ensure that the design meets requirements, guidelines, and standards
• Lead and follow up on requirement management and quality-assure technical deliveries and documents
• Responsible for reviews and handling of comments
• Coordinate design between technical areas and ensure functioning interfaces with project, maintenance, and production
• Drive a holistic perspective for technically feasible and long-term sustainable solutions
• Follow up on costs, resources, forecasts, and handle risks and deviations
• Report status, progress, and decision needs to the Project Manager
• Contribute to the preparation of technical specifications and tender documents, and participate in bid evaluations
• Support production in technical matters and ensure buildability during the contract period
• Develop and coordinate technical memos and solutions as needed
• Ensure that maintenance requirements are considered and drive the work regarding the handover of maintenance documents

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

• You must have a Master of Science in Engineering with a technical focus or equivalent technical competence acquired through work experience of at least 7 years.
• You must have documented experience from at least one (1) project within rail-bound traffic where design was carried out in a facility with ongoing track traffic, and where the work was planned, coordinated, and executed in such a way that the impact on traffic operations was minimized and without unplanned operational disruptions.
• You must have at least six (6) years of documented experience in design within construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects. Of this total experience, at least three (3) years must have involved work in the role of Technical Manager (TA), Project Manager, or a corresponding coordinating and technically leading role within a design organization.
• You must have at least three (3) years of documented experience in the role of Project Manager or Project Lead with overall responsibility for the preparation of system documents within projects for rail-bound traffic. The experience must include coordination and leadership of at least six (6) technical areas and responsibility for both technical documents and administrative support.
• You must have at least two (2) years of documented experience in the role of Project Manager or Project Lead with overall responsibility for the preparation of tender documents within projects for rail-bound traffic. The experience must include coordination and leadership of at least six (6) technical areas and responsibility for both technical documents and administrative regulations and support.
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

Merits

• You must, in the role of Site Manager or Foreman, have at least 2 years of experience of contracting work within rail-bound traffic.
• You must have documented experience from at least two projects of administrative steering and follow-up of consulting assignments according to ABK 09, including handling of time, economy, deliveries, and change management.
• You must have at least 3 years of experience working in or on behalf of a client organization within infrastructure or public transport.
