About the Position

In the role of Service Technician, you will work with the service and maintenance of ASSA ABLOY entrance solutions at our customers' sites. The work involves installation, repairs, and maintenance, where you contribute to ensuring that the customer's specific needs are met. Your daily work will cover everything from preventive service to urgent repairs and technical improvements.

A significant part of your work will involve managing and developing customer relationships, while working closely with experienced colleagues in service, sales, and technical support. As a Service Technician, you have the opportunity to combine technical work with customer contact in a secure and stable company. You will be part of a team with other technicians who provide you with support and assistance on your journey with ASSA ABLOY. Working hours are Monday–Friday, 07:00–15:30, plus optional on-call duty. The position is home-based, and a company car is provided according to current policy.

Responsibilities

  • Independently plan and execute service assignments.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on automatic entrance solutions.
  • Provide price estimates for spare parts and upgrades in consultation with the Service Manager.
  • Document and report completed work in internal systems as well as to the customer.
  • Identify customer needs and suggest improvements, upgrades, and additional services.

About You

To succeed and thrive in this role, it is important that you are driven by maintaining a high service level and enjoy taking responsibility for your assignments. As a person, you are service-oriented, flexible, and structured. Your working style is characterized by an independent drive to always complete what you have started, and the ability to prioritize in a flexible daily routine with varied tasks. We also value your ability to build good relationships, as you will have a role with many contact points and significant customer interaction. You take full responsibility for your working time, and by understanding the bigger picture, you can deliver the best possible customer experience. No two days are alike, so a good ability to be flexible and reprioritize when necessary is required.

Your geographical area is the Mälardalen Region, based in Örebro and surrounding areas. Longer car trips may occur.

We believe you:

  • Have good knowledge of our products, our market, and our competitors.
  • Have basic knowledge of mechanics and low-voltage electricity. Experience with troubleshooting and repair is a plus.
  • Fluently speak and write Swedish and have basic knowledge of English.
  • Hold a valid driver's license (Category B is required).
  • Are accustomed to working with digital tools (e.g., MS Office). Knowledge of planning tools such as FMP360 or similar is a plus.

Contact and Application

This is a full-time position based in Örebro and surrounding areas. The employment begins with a 6-month fixed-term contract with good prospects for extension.

If you have questions regarding the position, please feel free to contact Regional Service Manager Samir Toran: [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) or HR Partner Thea Nilsson: [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]).
