Do you want to cook from scratch in one of Scania's most beautiful environments – and at the same time have a great opportunity to influence future development?

At Bosjökloster, we are now looking for a chef who wants to take responsibility for our food operations when our current chef moves on after appreciated years with us. This is not a job in a large restaurant kitchen with many levels of management. Here, you work close to the operations, the guests, and your colleagues. You are responsible for planning, menus, purchasing, and the daily operation of the kitchen together with a small team that you also help develop.

About the operations

Food is an important part of the overall experience at Bosjökloster. We run the Garden Café, which is open during Easter week, daily during the season from May to September, and at the Christmas market, focusing on well-prepared food and homemade baked goods.

In addition to the café operations, we host weddings, conferences, private parties, traditional goose dinners, Christmas buffets, and our large Midsummer buffet, which attracts several hundred guests, every year.

We work in a historical setting with high ambitions. For us, the quality of ingredients is important, as is the craftsmanship behind the food. The ambition is for the dining experience to maintain the same level as the rest of the castle area.

About the role

We are looking for someone who:

• is a trained chef or has equivalent experience


• is passionate about cooking and baking from scratch


• has good skills in planning, organizing, and creating structure


• understands the importance of economics, sustainability, and reduced food waste

• is happy to share knowledge and help others develop

Things you need to know

Bosjökloster is a seasonal operation. During the summer months, the pace is fast and working days are longer. The winter half-year is quieter and is used for planning, menu development, trial dinners for couples, and preparations for the upcoming season.

This means that the main vacation period is primarily scheduled during the winter half-year, and working hours vary throughout the year.

For the right person, this is a major advantage. For others, it may not be a good fit. We therefore want to be clear about the conditions from the start.

About Bosjökloster

Bosjökloster is a privately owned castle with a park, gardens, exhibitions, shop, café, and event operations. Those of us who run the business have lived on the premises for several generations.

We are a small and dedicated team working closely together to create food, culture, and nature experiences for our visitors. Cooperation, curiosity, responsibility, and good camaraderie are values we hold in high regard.

Practical information

Bosjökloster is located approximately 7 km south of Höör. A driver's license and access to a car, moped, or other functioning transport solution are necessary as working hours cannot be adjusted to public transport.

We have a collective agreement and apply individual salary setting.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
