Senior Data Engineer – Azure, Fabric & Modern Data Platforms

We are now looking for a Senior Data Engineer for a long-term consulting assignment with one of our clients. You will join a domain-oriented team and take on a key role in developing a modern analytics platform based on the Microsoft cloud ecosystem.

Your Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be a driving force in both technical development and solution design. You will work closely with the business, other development teams, and stakeholders to ensure that data flows, analytics solutions, and integration platforms are developed in a scalable, secure, and future-proof manner.

The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on development and offers significant opportunities to influence technology choices, working methods, and the continued development of the platform.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

• Ensure solutions are designed based on business needs and established guidelines
• Develop new functionality as well as further develop and maintain existing solutions
• Drive and coordinate data integrations between different systems and platforms
• Work with information security in connection with the implementation of data solutions
• Handle and process complex datasets
• Develop robust solutions for data transformation and data modeling
• Contribute to the development of working methods, processes, and technical guidelines
• Collaborate with the business, development teams, and other functions within IT and data
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, mentoring, and competence development within the team
• Participate in overall solution design and technical guidance

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on organization-wide data and analytics platforms
• At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Synapse Analytics
• At least 3 years of experience with data integrations within modern data and analytics platforms in cloud environments
• At least 5 years of experience with ETL/ELT processes, of which at least 2 years within Microsoft cloud platforms
• At least 2 years of experience with development in Apache Spark Notebooks
• At least 3 years of experience with dimensional modeling
• At least 2 years of experience with development, configuration, and management of CI/CD pipelines
• At least 3 years of experience coaching, supporting, and mentoring more junior developers
• Good ability to communicate technical solutions to different target groups
• Experience working in agile teams and complex business environments

Preferred Qualifications

It is particularly advantageous if you have:

• Experience with semantic modeling in Power BI or Azure Analysis Services
• Experience working with the development of Data Lakehouse architecture
• Experience with streaming data flows and real-time data
• Experience with modern data architecture within the Azure ecosystem
• Experience contributing to the establishment of technical frameworks, standards, and best practices

Stockholm.

The assignment offers the possibility of hybrid work with up to approximately 50% remote work.

Timeline and Scope

Start: 2026-06-15 End: 2027-06-14

Extension possibility: The assignment can be extended by up to 1 + 1 + 1 years.

Scope: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
