We have started our summer recruitment for our services within elderly care, and we are looking for you who want to work on a schedule with us.
Kungälv Municipality offers monthly employment for all summer substitutes who work more than four weeks. This means you get guaranteed working shifts, a ready-made schedule, and the salary paid out the same month. Furthermore, we work with a 37-hour week as the full-time standard for day/evening shifts and a 34.33-hour week for night shifts. There is also an opportunity to continue working after the summer and to have fixed weekends throughout the year.

What does it mean to work as a casual substitute in our various operations?
Support in ordinary housing
Home Care Services
In home care services, you have a meaningful, social, and varied job together with engaged colleagues. You meet users in their homes and in their daily lives. We work with planned visits in the form of care and support measures. This includes, for example, morning assistance, moving/transferring, help with meals, showering, toilet visits, clothing care, cleaning, walks, supervision, and shopping. We also perform delegated health and medical care measures. This can also involve covering shifts and accompanying patients to and from hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and health centers.
Support in ordinary housing
Security Alarm and Night Patrol
The day and evening security alarm's main task is to answer and handle alarms. The work is carried out independently with support from great colleagues. The night patrol (security alarm at night) mainly performs planned visits and handles alarms. When working with us, you must feel comfortable moving around in Kungälv alone at night and hold a B-driver's license.
Care and Support Housing
We have six care and support housing facilities located throughout the municipality, focusing on dementia, somatic care, and psychiatry. Your tasks involve providing care, help, and support to our residents based on their individual needs. With us, you work together with experienced and wonderful colleagues. Here, you are guaranteed a job that is both fun and stimulating!
Short-term Unit
The short-term unit is located at Ängegärde Care and Support Housing and has 20 places for residents. We work in a team together with social secretaries, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nurses. With us, you get the opportunity to meet different types of people we support, as well as a variety of tasks. No two days are alike. To work here, you need either education within care and support or longer work experience. You get the opportunity to work with an experienced, tight-knit group that has fun at work and is close to laughter!
✨ Qualifications
Requirements:
- You have turned 18.
- Good physical condition.
- B-driver's license.
- Mobile Bank-id or Freja-id.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
- Good knowledge of mobile and computer usage.
- Ability to receive delegation of health and medical care measures.
It is meritorious if you have education or experience within care and support.

What does our recruitment process look like?
- Selection and interviews take place continuously during the application period based on the operations' needs.
- You need to provide two manager references, one of which must be your current or most recent manager. Have you had one or no previous jobs? Then you can provide another relevant reference, such as a supervisor or teacher. Contact your references before you enter their contact details.
- If you have previously been employed within Kungälv Municipality, we will contact your former manager to obtain internal references as part of our recruitment process.
