Job Description

As a Structural Design Lead, you lead the technical work in the projects you are involved in within the engineering field. To succeed in the role, you are available for designers and drafters working in your projects and involve yourself in their daily work on assignments. You are responsible for ensuring that the deliverables meet all requirements and maintain high quality. You are involved in all cross-disciplinary issues concerning the structural engineering area and provide continuous feedback and motivate other project team members. You review the deliverables before submission to the customer and take ownership of the deliverables within the assignment. You also lead the technical dialogue with the customer's structural engineering support.

The role of Structural Design Lead does not include administrative responsibility for schedules and budgets but is a role focused on the technical aspects.

In addition to working as a Structural Design Lead, you will also work as a designer in more technically complex assignments. This is to further develop your own technical competence.

You will also serve as a sounding board together with other senior employees in the section regarding high-complexity issues in assignments other than those where you are the Structural Design Lead.

Our employees are primarily located in Solna, but we also have employees in Poland, India, and Luleå.

In this role, you will be based in Solna.

Qualifications

You have at least 10 years of experience as a designer within structural engineering on the Swedish market.

You are well-versed in current regulations and have the ability to build trust, both internally and externally.

You communicate well in both Swedish and English and enjoy mentoring and developing more junior employees.

Additional Information

We know that employees who are well, both physically and mentally, are the most important success factor. Therefore, we focus on a safe work environment and balance between work and leisure.

Through Club AFRY, we promote our culture based on passion and teamwork. Here we offer fun hobby activities, trips, and training sessions! It is also important to us that you, as an employee, can develop further, which is why we have clear career paths within AFRY. Which path will you take?
