About the company and project
Trafikverket is a government agency responsible for the long-term planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of state infrastructure such as roads and railways. The agency works to create an accessible, safe, and sustainable transport system for all of Sweden.
This assignment is located within Program Ostlänken, which involves the construction of a double-track railway approximately 160 km long between Järna and Linköping. The program is organized into several project units as well as support functions including technology, real estate, and environment.
About the role
Trafikverket is looking for a resource consultant as project manager for program-wide strategic planning for Program Ostlänken.
In this role, you will primarily serve as support to project managers and project directors regarding strategic planning and contractual matters. The assignment has an advisory character and includes, among other things, decision-making related to interfaces, production planning, follow-up, as well as financial and cost control.
The assignment covers approximately 80–100% of full-time and may be adjusted over time. The assignment also includes knowledge transfer to Trafikverket employees regarding the tasks performed by the resource consultant.
Role and responsibilities
As the project manager for program-wide strategic planning, you will, among other things:
- Contribute to the program achieving its goals regarding scope, time, costs, and quality
- Ensure the program's progress and deliveries, taking into account the client's and other stakeholders' needs
- Independently and together with others steer projects and different parts of the program forward in necessary decisions
- Prepare decision support materials
- Clarify the scope and prerequisites of the projects
- Ensure that project activities are coordinated
- Integrate, coordinate, and control the internal and external contact surfaces of the projects
- Work to ensure that important information and experiences are captured and shared between projects
You report to the head of the procurement unit and collaborate closely with project directors within the program.
Competency requirements
We expect you to meet all the mandatory requirements listed below, which should be clearly evident in your CV:
- A university or college degree of at least 180 hp with a focus on construction technology within civil engineering, or alternatively another relevant education combined with experience that the client considers equivalent
- At least ten (10) years of recent experience in project management for infrastructure projects in the construction phase
- At least five (5) years of recent experience supporting a client organization with contractual and business issues in several different construction contracts
- At least two of the contracts supported by the consultant must be construction contracts with a contract sum of > 1,500 MSEK
- At least one of the contracts must have a cost-reimbursable payment form and have had periods with turnover exceeding 100 MSEK/month
- Good ability to write reports and deliver oral presentations in internal and external contexts
- Good knowledge of relevant standard agreements AB, ABT, ABK, as well as AMA
“Recent” experience is defined as:
- 10 of the last 15 years for project management
- 5 of the last 10 years for contractual and business support
Assignment information
- Assignment period: From the contract's entry into force until 2028-09-15
- Extension option: 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 years
- Scope: 80–100%
- Location: Solna/Sundbyberg, Nyköping, or Norrköping
- Presence: As a starting point, work at the project office five days a week; some remote work may be approved
- Travel in the role: Travel is required, primarily to project offices in Södertälje, Nyköping, and Norrköping, approximately four times per month
Trafikverket provides a computer and workplace.
