Welcome to Ekbackens School, a F-6 school with an after-school center and youth club. The school offers pleasant learning environments with nature close by. Currently, there are approximately 175 students and about 25 staff members at the school. Ekbackens School is located in Fellingsbro, a small community about 3 miles outside of Örebro. Nearby facilities include playgrounds, an ice rink, a swimming pool for summer bathing, and jogging trails. Job Responsibilities

This is a permanent position with a workload of 30–70%. The woodwork (woodworking) instruction will be distributed over two days a week. You will teach grades 3–6 in half-classes with approximately 15 students per group. The position also includes time at the after-school center on other days of the week. Education as an after-school pedagog or teacher in the after-school center is advantageous.

Your main responsibilities include planning and conducting woodwork instruction, as well as documenting and following up on student results. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop and make a difference every day.

Qualifications

• We are looking for you who are educated and have experience as a woodwork teacher, after-school pedagog, and/or teacher in the after-school center.
• You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and are well acquainted with Lgr 22 (the Swedish National Curriculum for Compulsory School).
• In the classroom and in the after-school center activities, you are a clear leader who creates a good learning environment with structure and warmth.
• You have a good ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• You are a person with great flexibility and a strong commitment to woodwork and teaching in the after-school center.
• You work systematically to make the instruction and learning environment accessible to all students.
