Sörmland Vatten and Wastewater AB is responsible for producing and delivering high-quality drinking water, managing and treating wastewater, and handling household waste responsibly. We utilize our by-products by producing and delivering climate-friendly biogas and returning plant nutrients to productive agricultural land. For sustainable societal development, we work resource-efficiently and in line with circular economy principles, prioritizing service and the environment every day. We do this for you, whether you live, work, or visit our region – also known as the heart of Södermanland. We are owned by the three municipalities of Flen, Katrineholm, and Vingåker. Do you want to be part of the launch when a new recycling centre is built in Katrineholm? We are now looking for a service-oriented and responsible environmental worker for our recycling centres.
We are currently looking for one employee but will also be recruiting more employees later this year.
1 position(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be involved in launching our new recycling centre in Katrineholm, which will open in approximately 45 months. Prior to the opening, you will receive a thorough introduction to your upcoming work at the recycling centre.
Before that, you will also be part of our work with building-proximity collection. During the first half-year, your focus will primarily be on container service and the distribution of new waste bins.
When the recycling centre opens, you will become an important part of our regular operations.
The role requires that you enjoy working independently, take responsibility, and can combine practical work with good service. Initially, you will work in the field with container distribution, computer registration, and daily collaboration with container suppliers and administration. Subsequently, the role shifts to work at the recycling centre, where you will meet visitors, guide them in sorting, and contribute to order, safety, and excellent customer service.
Your task is to ensure that waste is handled efficiently and correctly. The work also includes operating machinery, specifically wheel loaders. You do not need a wheel loader license to apply for the position; we offer training during working hours. If you already have a wheel loader license, it is a merit.
In this role, you are the face of Sörmland Vatten regarding waste management. It is important to us that our customers feel secure knowing we handle their waste in the best possible way.
The work is varied and involves both indoor and outdoor tasks. You are offered a good balance between work and private life, as well as the opportunity to be involved in our continued development.
Work at our other recycling centres in Flen and Vingåker may occur, which means you need to be flexible and able to change workplaces as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have good customer service skills and a service-oriented, solution-focused approach to work. You are meticulous, flexible, and responsible, and you thrive in social, practical, and mobile fieldwork. You have the ability to handle periods of high tempo in a structured manner.
You must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma, and hold a B driving license. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have good experience working with digital tools. For us, it is self-evident that you can work independently, register information correctly, and collaborate well with colleagues and other partners. Basic IT skills and good physical fitness are prerequisites for the role.
It is a merit if you have experience in logistics, delivery coordination, or similar practical work. Experience within waste management, recycling, or environmental work is also viewed positively. Furthermore, experience in customer service, public sector work, or other service operations is an advantage. Knowledge of building-proximity collection, material sorting, or hazardous waste, as well as an interest in occupational health and safety issues, is also considered a merit.
Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
Working hours: Shift schedule. Mostly daytime 07:00-16:00, evening and weekend work may occur.
We offer a competitive salary and attractive benefits, as well as a dynamic and developing work environment where you become a key player in the company's growth and success. You have access to a wellness allowance and the benefits portal Benifex, and you also have the opportunity to train for one hour during working hours. At our company, there is an option to exchange vacation pay for additional vacation days.
We strive for a workplace characterized by diversity and inclusion, and welcome applicants regardless of age, ethnic or cultural background, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or disabilities.
The appointment to the position will be based on the information you provide, and therefore it is of utmost importance that you are meticulous when filling out your application.
We make active choices regarding advertising platforms, support, and selection methods for each recruitment. Once we have published an advertisement, we will not purchase services or advertisements for an ongoing recruitment, so we decline such contacts.
We look forward to receiving your application!
