Delta Consulting is now looking for a Cost Estimator to join a major Swedish infrastructure company for a long-term consulting assignment starting in August. This is an opportunity for you if you want to work on a large infrastructure project where you calculate prices and estimates for orders and present them both internally and to the client.

About the role

In this role, you will work with figures, estimates, and bids for additions in ongoing projects. You will analyze drawings and technical documentation to calculate future material costs. In this work, you will have contact with both suppliers and subcontractors to create schedules and risk assessments. Internally, you will support the project manager in procurement and project follow-ups. You will take responsibility for your figures from estimation to presenting them both internally and to the client to ensure that margins are correct in the end.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in preparing quotations and estimates for large construction projects. You enjoy technology, analysis, and numbers, and use your experience to find cost-effective solutions with quality. You collaborate easily with others, are accustomed to meeting decision-makers, and presenting your proposals to others. Although you are risk-aware, you see opportunities and like to compare different technical solutions to find the right balance between time and cost.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in cost estimation and calculation for very large construction projects, as well as budgeting and forecasting related to projects
• Good knowledge of contract law
• Experience handling EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts and preparing complete economic and legal documentation
• Very good knowledge of Excel
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

Meritorious

• Experience with CVA drawings and BIM models
• Knowledge of estimation software such as BidCon, MAP, or Bluebeam
