About the role

We are now looking for experienced and engaged assembly leaders and steel fitters for exciting projects within industry, warehousing, and commercial properties. The work involves assembling steel structures for larger buildings where safety, quality, and collaboration are in focus. You will work in a cohesive team with varying projects around the country. The role suits you if you enjoy practical work at heights and have experience in heavy assembly within the construction or industrial sectors.

What the role entails

As an assembly leader or steel fitter, you will work on erecting the frame and shell of large buildings such as department stores, warehouses, and industrial facilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assembly of steel beams and load-bearing steel structures
• Assembly of exterior wall panels and roof structures
• Work from high lifts and elevating work platforms (EWPs) when assembling at high heights
• Collaboration with crane operators during lifting and positioning of steel beams
• Reading drawings and working according to technical documentation
• Planning and leading assembly work on-site
• Ensuring work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and quality requirements

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have experience with steel assembly and a good understanding of construction processes and site safety. Requirements:

• Experience with steel assembly or similar construction
• Experience working at heights
• Lift ticket and training in safe lifting
• Ability to read and understand drawings
• Good physical fitness and safety awareness
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

• Previous experience as an assembly leader
• Knowledge of traversing systems or cranes
• Fall protection training
• Hot work certification

The employment

The position is a full-time employment starting in August. Work may take place in various locations depending on the project's location.
