Stockholms kommunStockholms län, Stockholm
Previous experience is desired
Stockholm – our capital city full of millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
The Traffic Office is responsible for managing and developing Stockholm's public spaces, ensuring they are safe, attractive, accessible, and sustainable. The assignment covers everything from caring for the existing urban environment to implementing strategic investment projects and planning for tomorrow's growing metropolis. To fulfill our mission, we are approximately 500 colleagues, mainly located in the newly renovated premises of the Technical Council House on Kungsholmen. Together, we ensure that Stockholm continues to be a leading city with sustainable transport solutions and vibrant environments, both today and in the future.
Welcome to us
The Infrastructure Department has approximately 90 employees and a broad area of operations. The department handles project implementation, management of the city's bridges, tunnels, traffic signal systems, and public lighting. The operations range from large operation and maintenance projects to investment and reinvestment in the city's facilities, street and urban environment improvements, as well as collaborative projects with the Swedish Transport Administration and the Traffic Administration.
Are you a project manager with experience in reinvestment projects within infrastructure? We are now looking for two people who want to lead important waterproofing membrane replacements in the city's bridges and contribute to a sustainable Stockholm. If you are also interested in developing Stockholm's urban environment and public spaces and have a genuine interest in society, this may be the role for you. As a project manager at Stockholm City, you will become part of the development work for today's and tomorrow's Stockholmers, where you contribute to sustainable solutions with your knowledge and experience.
The unit is responsible for several exciting projects, ranging from improving visitor areas, streets, pedestrian and cycle networks, to building and renovating structures such as bridges, quays, and tunnels. In addition to all the projects that will be initiated in the future, there are currently a number of exciting projects underway that contribute to improving Stockholm's infrastructure. The ongoing projects include, for example, Norrtullsgatan, Kungsholmen Strand Path, Johanneshov Interchange, Liljeholmen Bridges, Norra Danviksbron, as well as various collaborations in areas such as Sickla, the subway expansion, and Slussen.
We work on projects that truly make a difference in people's daily lives, from bridges and streets to safe and attractive urban environments. At the same time, it is important to me that we have a workplace where people thrive, develop, and feel that their competence makes a difference.
- Annika Burström, Recruiting Unit Manager
