We are currently looking for several mechanics for Muskövarvet. If you like it when things rumble, spin, and move – and you also know how it works. This is a broad role where you work with everything from engine installations and troubleshooting to all kinds of mechanical assembly, inspections, and repairs.

It can involve almost anything that has some form of mechanical function on a ship. You should not be deterred by tight spaces, have an eye for detail, and feel comfortable working both independently and in a team.

Note: Muskövarvet is a security-screened workplace. This means you must be a Swedish citizen, have a clean criminal record, and be able to pass a security check with register control according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

• Repairs, new installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting of engines and technical systems
• Independent work according to instructions and drawings
• Documentation of completed work
• Contribute to teamwork and support colleagues when needed

Working hours: Daytime

We are looking for you who have a few years of experience in mechanical work, preferably with a focus on marine engines such as Scania or Volvo Penta. You are experienced in engine repairs, technical installations, and troubleshooting, and if you have also worked with heavy vehicles such as buses or trucks, it is a big plus!

You are self-motivated, meticulous, and enjoy practical work. You understand the importance of following instructions and documenting your work. You thrive in varied environments, sometimes out on the water and often in tight spaces – that is where the job happens.

• Relevant technical education or equivalent experience
• Good knowledge of repair, installation, and troubleshooting of machine systems
• Ability to follow instructions and document completed work

• Experience with Scania or Volvo marine diesel engines
• Experience from the marine sector or similar
• Experience working with heavy vehicles

Muskövarvet AB is a sought-after and recognized maintenance and repair shipyard established in 2005 and since 2018 part of the defense group Saab. The operations are mainly conducted in the Naval Port on Muskö, approximately 60 km south of Stockholm.
