Our 125 employees work to enable good housing and an attractive local environment, regardless of where you are in life.

The Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Land Manager for the Community Development Administration in Botkyrka Municipality.

In the role of Land Manager, you will manage the municipality's land holdings and handle issues related to land and property. You will work with contracts, case processing, and play an important coordinating role between different stakeholders. The work involves many contact points, both internally within the municipality and externally with citizens, authorities, and private actors. You will also contribute to development and detailed planning projects by supporting land and property-related issues.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Process leases, easements, servitudes, and land releases
  • Handle leasehold rights issues, such as buyouts and re-regulations
  • Handle comments and defect reports related to the municipality's land
  • Apply for land division and process cadastral matters
  • Support development and detailed planning projects in land and property matters

You will become part of the Land and Development Department and work closely with colleagues with various specialist competencies. The role involves both independent work and collaboration in projects. You are also expected to contribute to the development of methods and routines in the area.

We offer you

You belong to the Land and Development Department where we work with the entire community development process, from early ideas to fully developed projects. The department consists of approximately 15 employees with different specialist competencies and close collaboration. Here you work together with colleagues in land and development in a business that is evolving.

With us, you get a role with both responsibility and variety, where you work with issues that have a direct impact on the municipality's development. We offer flexible working hours with annual working time and flextime, the possibility of remote work up to two days a week, fitness allowance, and holiday exchange. Our premises are centrally located in Tumba with good communications.

You who apply to us

You have an academic degree in surveying, community development, property law, or another direction that, in combination with relevant work experience in land and property matters, is assessed as equivalent.

You have experience working with land and property issues and are accustomed to handling your own cases from start to finish.

Other requirements:

  • Experience of working in the land and property area, for example through work, internship, or thesis.
  • Experience of working with cases or tasks that require structure and precision.
  • Experience of driving cases independently from start to decision.
  • Experience of working in a role with several parallel cases.

We consider it meritorious if you have:

  • Experience of processing leases, easements, and servitudes.
  • Experience of working with leasehold rights issues, such as buyouts or re-regulations.
  • Experience of land division and other cadastral matters.
  • Experience of working in public operations or politically governed organizations.
  • Category B driver's license

In the role of Land Manager, you need to work systematically and have the ability to plan, organize, and follow up on your cases in an efficient manner. You handle several parallel processes within the land and property area and need to be able to create order and ensure that your cases are driven forward with quality at each step. The role also requires you to be analytical and able to immerse yourself in complex issues related to contracts, leasehold rights, and cadastral matters, where you need to weigh different perspectives and make well-founded decisions.

The work involves many contact points, both internally and externally, which requires you to be collaborative and relationship-building. You need to be able to collaborate with different actors, handle dialogues in a professional manner, and build trust in your contacts. In issues where different interests meet, you need to be able to contribute to solutions that work in a larger context while simultaneously driving your issues forward.
